The Automotive Industry

The automotive industry is one of the largest industries in the world. It includes all sectors related to the production of motor vehicles.

The automotive industry produces vehicles that range from simple automobiles to luxury models. It also employs a variety of technologies to make cars safer and more environmentally-friendly.

A vehicle’s environmental impact begins with its manufacturing, and ends with its disposal. During the past few decades, the volume of vehicles produced has increased. In fact, China became the world’s largest auto producer in 2009.

The automobile industry has a number of associations. These associations are responsible for the oversight of certain automotive components. Some of these organizations include the German Association of Automotive Industry (VDA), the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and the German Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ADA).

The VIN, or Vehicle Identification Number, is the unique code assigned to a vehicle by the manufacturer. You can find this number on the windshield or a sticker on the body.

A fuel cutoff is a device that shuts off the engine when the vehicle is at rest. This is designed to improve the efficiency of the engine.

A traction control system helps ensure maximum traction. This is done by controlling the amount of torque and wheel spin.

Vehicles can be powered by two sources, and this feature is called dual fuel. One of these sources is gasoline. Another is electric.

Safety means protecting a driver or passenger from injury or damage. An airbag is a type of safety device that deploys under the dashboard and near the steering column.
